Ski:
Ski Resort is just a few minutes from camp location. New to snow? Beginner and experienced skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of professional instructors. Group Lesson Packages are an affordable way to gain experience and improve your confidence on the snow.

Sno-Parks:
Couple of California's best "sno-parks" are also only short distances away from Camp. The variety of terrain has many well groomed trails, with unique winter scenic views and fun areas. These sno-parks offer an exciting day of playing in the snow or cross country skiing, snowshoing and snowmobiling. And, always with the comfort of knowing Camp is only a short distance away.

Sno-Parks require daily parking permit for the cost of $5 per car. As a convenience we can also arrange to buy parking permits. Please let us know if you want sno-park parking permit and we can manage to buy parking permits in advance.

Safety Notes, the words from experts:
1. Check your tires: make sure they are inflated properly and have ample tire tread and are not worn out. There is poor traction on ice and snow with worn out tires
2. You must carry a set of Tire Chains to fit your tires and know if your car is front wheel drive or rear drive. In case of “Chain Control” in heavy snow, you would be required to carry chains and may have to put them on at the Chain Control gate. Buy the Tire Chains before leaving. They are a lot less expensive in the Bay area Auto Parts stores, compared to prices in gas stations on the road.
3. Check car’s radiator antifreeze level. If the antifreeze is older than 4 years, it’s recommended to flush the system and put new antifreeze fluid
4. Check the windshield washer fluid. Make sure it’s not just water. It must be filled with special windshield washer fluid that doesn’t freeze easily. Carry an extra gallon of windshield washer fluid with you.
5. Have a pair of window ice scrapers with you to clear window ice after the vehicle sits over night. Auto parts stores sell them.
6. Make sure the gas tank is full or near full most of the time while in winter driving condition. In case the car is stranded, you could still run the engine and keep warm. Fill your gas tank after you reach Fresno.
7. Make sure your cell phone is being charged while driving.
8. Drive much slower than usual speeds when the pavement is wet, icy or snow bound.
9. It’s better to travel in two cars if possible
10. Have lots of warm clothing, gloves, hats and blankets in the car.
11. Carry some water and food items in the car
12. Check your spare tire’s air pressure. It may be flat!
13. Make sure your car is ready and tuned up for winter driving!

Please note driving in snow conditions may be dangerous, specially if you are not prepared. SABA does not hold any liability in case of person’s poor judgment and lack of preparation. Please come prepared and join us to celebrate Eid-e-Ghadir and Mubahelah and have fun times together! Hadith of the Week

The example of the world is that of sea water; the more a thirsty person drinks from it, the thirstier he becomes until it kills him -Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), Usul al-Kafi
