4. Quran Memorization Competition: 11/16/08. All students are required to take part. Make sure your children are practising their surahs. Quran CDs have been give out on 10/26/08. Those who haven't received them can get them on 11/2/08. We're giving out only one per family (the CD has 31 surahs so all your children can share). The surahs can also be downloaded form the Sunday School website.

5. Safety: Some parents are asking their children to meet them outside the building. School policy requires that parents come into the building or at least up to the door to pick up their kids. No exceptions.

6. Class Dismissal; All students are let out at 1:30 pm. Teachers are not responsible for them from then onwards. You should remind your children to immediately perform wudhu and then salaat in the main hall. Salaat is a required part of school and is an excellent learning experience for your children. If you feel they are too young to follow these instructions please come and join them for salaat ul Jama'ah

2 School Lunch: Since the last year and a half, your children have been enjoying a different and delicious parent provided lunch every Sunday. We request all parents to help out our lunch program (just once in about 18 months).

Sister Nuzhat Naqvi is responsible for coordinating with parents to provide lunch for the students and staff. A team of two parents will be chosen each week for this task. You may sign up outside the school office to let us know which day you would like to provide lunch or you may receive a phone call from our lunch coordinator, Sr. Nuzhat, to set up a time convenient to you. As always we thank you for your cooperation and support.

We have a variety of nationalities so spicy food will not work. Here is a list of some of the items you could choose to provide (you may use SABA's kitchen if you clean it all up):

  1. Burritos (if store bought please request that clean utensils are used)
  2. Chao mein (home made or from halal rsetaurant)
